Type #240 Roll-On Shields
Description:Glas Mesh FRP Shields and Saddles are non-conductive, pre-shaped 240° or 180° peripheral snap-on pipe saddles, fabricated from a hand laid up ultra-violet protected, salt tolerant, fiberglass reinforced vinylester resin. Pre-selected reinforcements are laminated over specially modified molds to a uniform thickness. Sub-zero temperatures will not affect properties.
Recommended Use:These shields provide electrical isolation, abrasion control, and load distribution for pipelines and cables, replacing metal saddles where corrosion or conductivity is a concern. They can be secured with bands, bonds, or tape, and are available in custom sizes, including oversized versions for use with thick petrolatum tapes.
